The acclaimed Art & Apples Festival was founded in 1965 and has subsequently grown into one of the Top 30 Festivals in the Nation! Seventeen years after its inception, the festival's founders took proceeds earned from the event and established Paint Creek Center for the Arts.

The year-round efforts of coordinating the Art & Apples Festival transforms the 30-acre Rochester Park into a picture perfect display of fine art, family-friendly activities, non-stop entertainment, and the delicious aroma of specialty foods and apple delights.

The Art & Apples Festival brings 125,000 visitors over the three-day weekend and attracts fine art enthusiasts, families, and long-time Art & Apples Festival followers. The knowledgeable are collector or the everyday art buyer will find that the festival offers a diverse and remarkable collection of work in multiple mediums from juried artists around the country. Paint Creek Center for the Arts' strict jurying process ensures the caliber and integrity of the festival's national assembly of artists. Adding several family-friendly activities to the mix assists parents in introducing and exposing their children to the arts while having fun. The founding artists that still exhibit 44 years later will agree that the "core" of the festival still holds a wonderful magic and the new changes make the festival exciting and fresh year after year.
